What a beautiful picture, thanks Joe.
Compared to the Cart 98 cars I had this series in hand. Every race was a juggling match, keeping the car as flat as possible but how easy it was to over do it and having to wait for the slide to subside before reapplying power. It was a hoot!
First race was awesome, Joe took off while Jason was hounding me. I did a mistake and Jason passed. Then he had a slow exit out of the Keyhole. He kept the inside and we were wheel to wheel at China beach. I was outside so I was just scrubbing and waiting for Jason to rocket out and retake his position for the Madness corner. To my surprise, my car went around the outside at good speed so we stayed, side by side, from China beach to the Chute !!! We traded a bit of paint and I was back in 2nd place. It was awesome driving, I was laughing out loud. After that, I could not get a corner right... try to concentrate on what I had to do but I was all over the place, locking up, missing apex and putting wheels off on exits... Jason just went by and I ended in 3rd.
2nd Race was a military maneuver. Starting fourth with the reverse grid, as the lights changed, Jerry had his foot on the brakes... "thank you very much, I'll go around you just right here on the front straight. Then it took few laps to get to Peter, smoke show, Holm and pass him. Quite a wild pass from me but no paint was exchanged. Brette had gotten away and it took a while to reel him in. A little slide from him is all I needed. From then on, it was just a zero mistake mission. With Joe stuck to my bumper, he was faster but having enough to pass is another matter. I just needed to keep the entry to a few corners closed so he would not creep inside, exiting a few other corners to keep him covered and voilĂ , a second win in this series.
Now if I can get both next series to work as good, I'll be happy.
Always, a big thank you Joe and Jason for putting all of this up.
Jason, I never saw that while driving but it's easy to see in the replay. When it changes from Joe's view to yours, at 57 seconds, if you look center right just over the trees, there's a mountain racing toward us and that's the glitch or the shadow that we go through.

Well done Gilles! Much better effort than me with a weakened FFB wheel. Good racing with the podium. Glad someone could give our super Js a challenge. Speaking of Joe and Jason, thanks for running another great series guys! I especially like the custom paint jobs by Joe.
