@ryan and @gilles and anyone else that I collected. My apologies for spearing you guys in the chicane on the first lap. My brake setting in Automobila disappeared a few minutes before qualifying, and I hurriedly tried to get them where they were, obviously I failed. I had the brake pedal smashed and the brakes wouldn't even lock. I try real hard not to be "That Guy" on race starts. Then after that the brakes would lock without much provocation causing some more offs. Then to top off the perfect night I scattered the engine right after the pit stop. Again Sorry Guys!!

Joe, replay links to Imola. I wanted to comment tonight... inserting 1 or 2 pics... bouhouhou... Steve, standing start, no warmup, corner one, we all had no breaks! Wha'diu think ? I was as much a culprit than you, brakes, my pedal wouldn't go any further... either. Can't wait to see how, after being punted, spun around (wha?) and got the car back pointing in the right direction... I have no clue.

"Steve, standing start, no warmup, corner one, we all had no breaks! Wha'diu think ?" Yeah, I deserve that. Haven't had to reset brake settings for the Thrustmaster on the fly before but should have thought of that. Just so you know I usually lose several place on the start being polite. Again I'm sorry!

Well, that was an eventful race for me. First there was the chaos in T1L1, something that is always possible at tracks that start off with a chicane. So I was gifted a few positions. Then, exiting the final turn I see Jerry heading for the pits, and Tony nearly stopped. So I passed Tony, who soon caught up to me. But a minor off by Tony gave me space to try to keep up with Peter (wasn't happening) and as he slowly pulled away Steve kept getting closer and closer. I spun right in front of him (thanks for reacting fast enough to miss me, sir), then spun in the SAME turn the following lap and this time finding the gravel. rrrrr. Took a somewhat late pit stop, and got 4 tires just to be sure that if I got to race anyone later on I'd have something for him. Damned near ran over Gilles when I braked too late for t1, had to take to the grass to avoid certain contact. Then Jerry made himself known, gaining on me for a few laps until my fresh tires kicked in. A race like that, where I have to concentrate every lap, is exactly what an aging brain needs :-)

@joe Miller, is the final points row on right sorted correctly? Looks like it's sorting off Monza points not total points?

Sloppy ending in the last corner for me (I apologized to Martin), but otherwise I couldn't be happier with my pace. I made a change in gear ratio believe it or not, that made the car easier to drive. These cars are a handful, they're a blast to drive, but I'll be fine when the season is over.
Gilles got a great start and I was planning to give him room, I was okay just getting out of that corner b/w 1st and 3rd. But then I saw poor Gilles get pushed right through. I thought I might be able to push his front end around pointing in the right direction but I didn't have enough speed at that point. I drove out in 2nd but had damage on three sides then. Thanks goodness I didn't have the "winglets" installed or they would have been knocked off!!! I had a lot of fun chasing Martin, I was generally faster but would wobble and fall back, then claw it back. Finally I was all over him on the last lap. He blew the Della Roggia chicane and shortcut the track and stayed ahead (illegal) but I was close enough out of the last chicane to challenge in Parabolica.
Not sure who was the unlikelier Monza winner, me or Gasly...
