First off, congrats to Gilles on taking the win in both races. As for my night, I was on the pooped side and so considered not racing at all. But I showed up, essentially, to make sure there were enough folks to make a race -- which turned out to be unnecessary. I had fun in R1 trying to keep up with Jerry and Jason without wrecking either of them, but after having lost control having hit a curb at the wrong angle while braking too hard, I found myself too far behind to have any hope of racing anyone, so I pitted and exited. I figured the last thing anyone would want (including me) would be for me to lead the field to green with an inverted order in R2, so I joined in as a spectator for R2. That was a really fun race to watch, with the two major races between Gilles and "Kamikaze" and the one between Joe and Brette taking up my viewing time as I switched between them. Thanks for the entertainment, guys!

It Was The Best Of Times. It Was The Worst Of Times.
RACE 1 I got down to low 12s before race day, but had a bitch of a time during race day trying to get faster. A couple minutes before quals I decided to try a pressure change on the LF tire. Bingo! I got down to low 11s and was surprised to qualify 4th . Qualifying is not my strong suit.
I had Brette and Jason on my butt from the get go. Brette snuck by on lap 2. After a couple laps with Jason banging on my back door I decided to flash him past. For the next 17 laps I had an absolute ball hounding him (I noted Aaron not far behind and wondered what happened when he suddenly disappeared). Then came the last lap.
As we rounded the first corner Kamikaze was just ahead but going slowly. We passed on the right. Going into the left hander I was focused on Jason’s back bumper trying to stay as close as possible to find a passing opportunity. Rounding the corner he started to slide left then snapped back right across my nose. I jerked the car to miss him, went off track, got disoriented, and got DQ’d. Bummer.
So Jason, did you lose it or start to go the wrong way?
RACE 2 I had high expectations for another fun race but ran off track on an early lap, hit a wall and the car only went straight with the wheel turned about 10 degrees to the left. Must have bent a steering arm. Just ran a “Sunday drive” race to the end.
