Love this mod! For all the guys I raced around, thanks for the fun.
First off, I've got to say that it took me by surprise that there was apparently no pace lap speed. Those of us in the back were driving our hearts out just to catch up to the field for the start of the races, since the normal small accordian effect never happened, but the distance to the front simply lengthened. I guess I'll have to work harder on qualifying!
I need to apologize to Brian, I think it was, for my unpredictability on one of the early laps in race 2. After the long back straight I had to take a particular line or I knew I'd spin out exiting the turn, and although I had room to occupy the line I needed it it was pretty close, and I'm certain that I blocked Brian's (?) view of the turn entry, causing him to spin himself out in order to avoid calamity. Sir, sorry about that; I was glad to see you had the chance to catch back up to me, and subsequently pass me.
Also, late in the race, as I was running tenth, I could not see the 11th place car on the HUD. After a lap or two I figured out he was in the three car group including the leader and the challenger. I didn't think I could stay ahead of them, so I was hoping #11 was behind the other two, but as it turned out he was between them. Eduardo waited until it was safe to pass, did so...and Bob was right on his tail! Damn. I had to back off so that Jason could stay in the race for the lead. Well played, Bob!
I'm off to watch the replay, once I find where it is kept with this rF2 update; it might take me a while ( when there is a major change in sims or versions, sometimes I feel like Helen Keller must have felt if someone rearranged the furniture :-)

No fault of the slower cars, obviously...just the way the chips fall sometimes. But thanks to the heads up driving from you and Bob that didn't happen and I was able to continue the battle. ....replays: I think it's in the 'content' tab when you first launch game and go in the main menu. You click "content" and it'll bring you to another screen and 'replays' is in there, IIRC. (Make sure to 'view replay' rather than "resume"...."resume" will literally recreate the situation and toss you out there to drive, not watch a replay - which is a cool feature but usually it hangs the game up for me. So just watch what you're clicking before you click it) Pace lap: There WAS a pace lap speed, but I think the safety car at Mid Ohio is adjusted for Indy cars, hence the speed. So we were basically balls to the wall just to keep up. That won't happen again, so no need to worry about it. I think, henceforth, the formation lap will be the old style 'manual formation lap' and then either Joe or myself will call the green flag at the line (or, preferably, we'll do what other CMS series do in that we do the formation lap - either single or double file depending on series - and then the green flag is the s/f line. So basically everyone launches when they cross the line to start 'lap 2'.....that always seems to work out pretty well and kind of spreads us out for those initial corners a little better than a green flag drop and everyone jockeying for positions off the line.....either way, the procedure will be in the briefing thread and I'll make note of it next race in the chat before we get started just to make sure we're all on same page) Side note: You should come over and join us in the convo at the CMS discord. Most are reading there these days and your comments to Brian will more than likely go unnoticed by him here (I'm not sure he's watching the forum, but I know he reads at the discord)...just something to keep in mind. Plus, come race night you could hop in the voice chat and listen, if nothing else. It helps A LOT to be able to communicate verbally...lot quicker than typing and it's easier to keep up to speed on stuff like that pace car issue the other night. After race 1, all of us in voice knew what was going to happen and had discussed it just a bit before we got going. No one wrote in the chat so I'm sure those that weren't on voice were a bit confused about why we were flying on the pace lap) Additionally, it's just more fun being at the voice channel. Brings a bit more of an immersion factor to the whole experience. And just keep in mind that even just listening will improve the experience. Some don't even have a mic so they aren't talking and that is fine. Listening is the important bit anyways. But yeah, hope to see you there sometime!!) Such fun cars that are capable of producing some really close and great racing. Looking forward to the next one and see you there
