First off, congrats Jason on double wins, neither of which was easy! Second, welcome back, Elliott. It's been a while. Third, I want to thank the person who gave me the best laugh I've had in a while when I watched the YouTube video. Since I wasn't on Discord, I don't know which voice belonged to which driver, but whoever commented (during the pace lap, race 2) that I was going to lead the shit out of the pace lap made me laugh so hard that I had to pause the video. From my seat, I decided to just keep it at pit road speed (62, I think it was) but started thinking about how I could start the race with such a tall 1st gear without causing mayhem; I looked at my speedometer, and I was going 80! Sorry about that, guys. Guess it doesn't matter because it was a standing start, but still.... I raced with that gearing because I didn't want to blow up yet another motor in this series, but Ross took full advantage of my slow starts -- good work, my friend! I didn't cause mayhem on lap 1 race 2, so I felt good about that, but fell to last place after an unforced error. After that, I just tried to run my best laps, doing reasonably well while others had problems, gifting me positions, until I came upon Brette who was spinning, apparently after hooking a curb or the grass. I missed him by overreacting, turning left far too harshly, and the grass spun me into Joe's path. Despite Joe's braking, because there was nothing else he could do, we made contact. So now my drive was giving me a fight, bouncing horribly. "Just finish," I told myself, but nearing the end of the final lap I saw Gilles trying to get back up to speed, and rather than look at the hud I assumed we were on the same lap, and raced him to the s/f. My apologies, Gilles -- I never would have raced by you had I known we were separated by a lap. All in all, a fun night for me. Hope you all felt the same way when you logged off
