Geez, this is such a fun mod to run! I wouldn't be at all surprised to see the field twice as big by the end of the season.
I FINALLY noticed that I had my FFB at 100%, instead of the -100% that my g29 likes. Changed that, and eliminated the difficulties I had in the Lime Rock trial. But between the dog I've taken on (a rescue Beagle from a hoarder) and getting up early to make fresh coffee for a poll worker (my wife, who somehow can do that civic duty 14 hours in a row) I got very little sleep for race day. I'd had only a little practice, so, factoring everything in, I knew I'd not make it even halfway into the race. But I wanted to be a part of it, resolved to not be a factor in any one else's race.
Just as the race was about to begin, Ben joined in, which put him starting last, right behind me. On the warmup lap I dragged two tires into the sand, hoping that would give him an excuse to start in front of me, but he decided not to do so.
I pitted and exited after about 7 laps, too damned tired to carry on without worrying about taking somebody out, but re-entered as a spectator. Damn, that was as much fun as racing. I'll bet none of you neither chuckled nor grumbled through this race! Congrats to all who took on this challenge...and I'm hoping to have a few of you to race next week!
