I went to press the button to reduce the fuel in the handle of the G27 and unintentionally put in second gear the change in the straight of the boxes .. engine burst in time .. what a pity

I spent the afternoon removing the G27 to mount the G29 on my Playseat, but couldn't find a way to make it work. Left the PC on and about an hour before the race it decided to restart to update, suddenly, the wheel worked so I made few changes on the configuration (mostly on turn degrees) and entered the server, so the first laps I did with the new wheel was just before the race. The most amazing thing of G29 compared to G27 is the pedal brake: it allows you to brake later without locking wheels, the pedal is really progressive in pressure strength. That's why I hit Allan on his rear (sorry buddy), I was braking on my usual spot. Makes it easier also to dose up throttle, that's why the only spin I did was on purpose (to park the car for the reason explained next) At a point os the race had to stop my car off track because I really had to pee, couldn't hold on any more The race was more like a learning session, as I wasn't used to the new G29, but quite fun, managed to be faster than I was with the G27. For the reason above I beg your pardon for any mistake that may have caused prejudice on your race.

Results are provisional until Joe gets the official stuff up (he was under the weather last night, so may be a bit later today)
But, wanted to congratulate newcomer Allan Hellman on his win last night. Nice work!
Also to Denis Turcotte, who looks to be P1 in the seniors division. Congrats Denis!

My own race ended quickly and it was a bit frustrating to say the least.
I spent the better part of 3 days trying to sort the car. I was off pace of the front running cars, having issues with this track/car. Finally, in the hours before race I found something stable and fast, and that I could also be quite consistent with.
Quali wasn't perfect, but managed P2. Had some more in the tank, just couldn't nail it down.
The start couldn't have went much worse for me. I got antsy and upshifted too soon after leaving the start line, car got a bit slippy and I had to sort of back out of it. Those behind me didn't seem to have issue and powered by me. I fell from P2 to P7 or so in just a few corners.
I started regathering myself, got by one car, then tucked up and started following Gilles, trying to find a way past. That didn't last long though. I got in the throttle wee bit too much exiting a corner, car sort of half spun and I started through the grass.
I didn't get in the clutch quick enough, though I thought I had got in it quick enough to keep the car from stalling. I hadn't, and unknown to me at that second, the car had stalled somewhere during the half spin. By the time I realized it, I had no room to try to jump start, I was already nose only feet from the wall.
Stalled car, race over (no starter on this monster)
..."immersive", yet super frustrating when that happens.
NEEEEXT!

Yes Jason, this cars don't have starters, only start on the boxes. make sure to allow auto cluch, to prevent this on the race. i do the same thing on the practice i spin and the car stalled, and press button on my wheel to start and nothing happens. For race, I allow auto cluch to prevent this. I'm very happy to see 17 cars on the start grid! The bad thing is wait 15 days for next race.

Good times. This was my first race with you guys in years and I wish it hadn't taken so long. I had never run this sim before yesterday so I will chalk this up to a learning curve race. Have a great day everyone.

(Not the first time race has ended due to a stall) But, I prefer the challenge, even when it has it's frustrating and down sides. (Call it the purist in me, I guess ) As frustrating as it can be in sim world, image your race ending in a big F1 event real world side ...must have been infuriating.

Glad you got the update in time to race -- it was fun watching you guys. And thanks for making me laugh concerning the reason why you dropped out of the race; I think we've all been there at one time or another (try racing a full-length Indy 500 sometime, especially if you're a coffee drinker!).

Apologies for the results, replay and such not coming online yet. Bear with us a bit, please.
It'll be sorted very soon.
(If there are IRRs, the late posting of the replay will be taken into account - 72 hour limit on posting those. That won't start until the replay is available. Just fyi)

Sorry about the delay. I was out of it all day yesterday. Feeling better now. I posted the replay and I will get the points up later this evening.

*** EDITED ***What an impressive mod. What an impressive first event. But then again, I did my usual "Crap a fantastic position and climb back up from last!" trick. First, Congrats to Allan for the win, Frank and Joe for the other steps of that podium... and to all finishers. Second, BIG SORRY for that bump Denis, I had figure I was braking later than you guy but, at corner 3, the 1st hairpin, it seems that I figured way not enough and while running in 6th, I rear ended Denis in good fashion. I had got up to 5th until a bit of wheel spin coming out of the 2nd hairpin made me lose that position , which I regained but lost again when I slightly punted Bruno at the last corner where opportunist Denis took 5th. When I 'hit' Denis, I saw sky... for me, that was it... "I'm gonna kart wheel into the grand stands." Suddenly! The asphalt took it's normal position back and I could just turn around and continue I was sure the car was damaged, I didn't really join back, I'm drove off the edge of the track, messing with my buttons to prepare the pit crew (FV12 in GSC as a prep time of 20sec +- 4.5sec), I was giving all the room I could and let guys pass by. By the time I got through the last chicane, T11-12, "The car feels pretty good!" I decide to continue and not pit. "Let's try the car for another lap and see!". Now ...I'VE GOT TO CHANGE MY BUTTON MAPPING... I'll spare you. I ended up going backward in the gravel outside corner 1 with a dead engine... hey... I was already in... reverse!?! I popped the clutch and got the thing running again... in reverse! I rejoined but I still thought I was out of it so I waited for the train to go by, everybody running had passed, I was now last. Lap 5, I was 6th, Lap 6, I was last, lap 38, down a lap, 6th! Saved the furniture again. ---

Hey Joe,
The "Results and DATA" link opens in Google Drive but it shows up an HTML file in text format.
Unless I click on the Download icon at the top right and then my browser asks me to open it in the browser... it's just code on the displayed page.
I think we need a storage, like before.

If you upload an HTML file in there, does it opens or download?

I kept fiddling and fiddling with the setup right up to the start of qualifications. Even then I made one more change. Usually that boomerangs on me. The car wasn't where I wanted it to be but it held up OK during the race.
Started in P-10 and after a couple laps was by myself. The group ahead was in visual distance and the group behind was slowly fading. On lap six I was in P-6 and was thinking this might work out better than I'd imagined. The next lap I got tagged from behind and spun off track by Mr. Ekermann. However, he courteously waited for me to get going again (one reason why I enjoy CMS). Big thanks to Mauro for being a gentleman racer!
We dropped a position and I ran off a lap later letting him gain one. Pitted a few laps later and came out in P-9. Once again I was mostly by myself in a bubble. By lap 21 I was back in P-6. I was hoping to hang on to it but Mr. Lalonde came flying past on lap 31. And I took the checker in P-7.
Given all the futzing I did with the setup, not a bad outcome. Congrats to all intrepid drivers taking the green flag.
