Heads up everyone,
Tthe "Results and DATA" link open in Google Docs as a page full of code. At the top right, one of the icons is the Download button. Click on it, your browser will either ask if you want to save or open it.
If you save it, you will have your own copy. It will be saved as a web page (.HTML file) that will open in you default browser. If you can choose to open it, the browser should open it by itself or ask you if you want to open it with a specific but suggested app which should be the name of your browser.
Boom! Data galore!
---
Joe, a simple solution would be to just Zip the file and link to it.

Hey, does this latest birthday make Gilles eligible for the seniors squad yet? :-)
First off, congrats to Jason and Jerry on their respective wins in race one, and Gilles and Pete for the same in race two.
As far as race one goes for me, I need to apologize to Brette for getting into him in T3,L1 -- he was already spinning trying to miss Bob, but I completed the job by tagging his right rear. Sorry, my friend -- I think you should consider filing a race incident report, as it was in the OZ. I hope that wasn't why you dropped out.
As far as the rest of the race, man, I had a blast! I braked a bit too early approaching T1 on lap 2, surprising the driver behind me, and I spent a bit of time in the grass due to that. But once back on the track, I had competition immediately from Bob and Tony (and I wish I could also say Brette). Survived that trio, and spent the rest of the race racing Scott and Bob -- guys, that was some great fun! Hoping for a night like that keeps me coming back for online racing week after week!
Race two, gee; just starting the pace lap was hairy, but those of us in the right lane managed. I almost took out Jerry, T2 on L2 (I think) but missed him, and as a consequence lost a position to Todd. Something happened in front of me, about lap 6, and I passed 3-4 guys as I navigated the debris field, coming out in front of Jerry, Tyler, and Jason (not something I'm accustomed to). I ran a few laps ALMOST holding up a group of 5-6 guys, but eventually it was Jerry on my bumper. Good, respectful racing. Then it was Tyler on my bumper, and when he saw the chance, he took it...but I wasn't willing to concede the corner, so we touched, spinning us both, and Tyler backed off to let me regain the position (thank you, sir!). Of course, he passed me on the next lap, and I spent that lap trying to stay ahead of Jerry. Did it, too :-)
I love this mod -- Jason & Joe, if you want to run it for an entire year, I'm good with that!!!

No problem Aaron. As you said, Bob and I had a stack braking bump and spin episode and didn't leave you much time to react. If any apologies are necessary it would be from me to Bob. But, after reviewing the replay it appears he was trying to avoid hitting Luis in front of him and his car was already partially rotated when I bumped his right rear. Apparently Bob and I were charging into that corner with more speed and confidence than Luis and maybe a little too close to each other for the circumstances.
I did not purposely quit the race. My PC did a random hard reset (an all that entails) on its own. That was the third of the night. The first during qualifying and the third during an offline test while you guys were finishing race 1. That was enough to throw in the towel for the evening. In fact, I doubt I will be back to race until I have eliminated the problem with adequate testing to be confident it is solved. With all the PC testing I have done to date, the finger is pointing to my Power Supply as a the main culprit. That would be a shame because it is a flagship Corsair model and has been great since building my PC in 2012. But apparently others have had the same problem and 5 to 7 years is about all one can expect for a PSU heavily loaded from that model line.
Other Race Observations in Replay: 1. Jason is still the class of the field and will probably win this championship if some of us don't get more dialed in with this car 2. Joe was learning how to push his car to the limit without spinning as the race went on was catching up to Jason 3. Jerry is looking very good in this car. Good pace with smooth driving and conserving restraint to finish. He is poised to take on any of the front group if they make any significant mistakes. Well done Mr. Hamilton!
4. Good racing between Bob an Aaron nearing the end. Glad to see Aaron hold on to his car during a mild off while Bob took full advantage. 5. Brands is a tricky track for the 911 RSR with all those variable radius turns on hills and that rear engine. Hang in there guys!
See you when my PC is steady as a rock again.

Oof...better get that PSU problem sorted, Brette. I've read more than a few reports of issues with PSU that ended up turning into damages to other components. Definitely don't put it off (if it's indeed the PSU) ........................ Regarding the races; good observations and thanks for the kind words. This car is all a matter of getting comfortable putting it on the limit, and staying there (not panicking)...it is quite forgiving if tuned and driven as a old Porsche should be. I said it in the week leading up to Brands...it'd be just about the hardest track we put the 911 on. This thing can be a pig, and this track amplifies that to the max. Get out of the groove, and it's understeer of the track to the point of frustration, over and over again. (Teaches that slow in, fast out technique though.....teaches it with a bull whip!) I don't do understeer, so my approach to this track is generally to build what is essentially a drift machine, then tune back to something manageable for the racing. I'd much rather cope with oversteer, and if forgiving, it certainly beats just driving head long off the track...lol. Race 1 went about how I expected. I knew I had the car, just had to do the thing. Managed to do that, but watched the latter half of the race as Joe found his pace and slowly closed the gap (though, I was not pushing, just watching) Figured Race 2 would end up me and him at the front. Figured I'd have to fight some for the second one. Also figured I'd move to the front fairly rapidly. But, assumptions, and all that.....never works out the way we imagine it ahead of time it seems. Ended up in an incident heading up the hills...spinning car ahead of me, started skidding off track left...one other car directly ahead of me went left, I think, "oooh, wrong move, that's where he's spinning" In that same moment, spinning car snaps and shoots directly to the center of the track (heading track right)..directly into the "safe path" I took up the inside. T-boned it nicely, lots of damage, wheel cocked...spent the rest of the race struggling to keep it in the road, considering stopping for repairs the entire time. Gained back some positions, but kept going off trading mistakes with Tyler and a few others. Seems they had some damage too, but I was being overly safe because my car was all over the track and I didn't want to be side by side with anything at all. So just backed off, finished it out. Was a kind of fun challenge, manhandling the thing with partially broken steering Good stuff, and I'm certainly ready for the next ones. Not planning to slow it down either, championship in my sights See you all there!

Not if I have anything to say about it... That ole rust bucket of yours' can't keep up. Maybe if you toss a few grand at the crew they can afford to tune that thing a bit, find that two seconds race pace you were missing at Brands

Brands Hatch has never been a track I love. I've driven hundreds of laps on it and never warmed up to it. I do respect the hell out of it because it is a tough, unrelenting place to race. And I have learned some hard lessons from it. The car setup was the best I've ever had and I thought it would be pretty competitive. Never expected to qualify in third ; got a kick out of it though.
RACE 1: During the early laps I was following Lalonde and Miller with Holm chasing me. Peter spun off on lap 3 and by lap 9 I was in P4. That was because Gilles had an incident and dropped behind me. Apparently he was not interested in staying there. He gave me a love tap going into T-1 on lap 11 to say hello and he was coming for me. Two laps later, going through the fast uphill corners, he made a gutsy pass attempt. After a little rubbing shoulders he pulled it off (well done sir!). A lap later the checker dropped and I finished in P5.
RACE 2: Started in P4 but a swarm of cars came charging from behind and I dropped to P6 after the first lap. Whited went by on lap 2, ran off track, and came past again on lap 3. So I was moving backwards. On the next lap I got bumped off track in T-1 by a driver using the bulldozer passing technique and dropped further back.
Apparently, there were other problems around the race course because I magically showed up in P6 after awhile. That encouraged me to push hard to see if I could pick up some more spots. Then I came flying around one of the uphill corners to see a couple cars wrecked just ahead in the middle of the track. There was a car on the right hand side and an opening on the left. I pointed for the opening but the stopped car pulled directly across my path and I T-boned him.
The car's handling was revised so I had to re-learn how to drive it. Did manage to get up to P5 but then ran off two laps in a row dropping me to a P7 finish.
Congrats to all intrepid drivers taking the green. It was one heck of a race.
