Too much other stuff going on lately, not near enough time to prep and get acquainted with this car. ...just not a car I should show up completely unprepared for. Got in early and started working on the car, but I wasted a lot of time messing around with the low d/f package and it just wasn't working for me, so ended up starting over. At race time, I certainly wasn't fast, but felt I had the car in a comfortable place and I was committed to just running my own pace and seeing where it landed me. Didn't start well, damn near put the nose in the wall track right leaving the grid....lost some spots. Little struggle on the fuel load/cold tires/cold brakes, but managed. An overly aggressive driver putting the nose in my rear twice, the second time after leaving the pits a lap down (why?) Frustration followed, and I took a bit of damage in the second part of the aforementioned incidents. A little damage at the rear from the punch, didn't take much to throw the car off balance. The frustration turned to lack of precision....deadly in this car. Not long after I found myself nose first in a barrier with some damages. Decided I'd pit early, hope for the best, get the car fixed in the process. But, I'd adjusted fuel for my stop and while rebinding some buttons I forgot to rebind the lcd increase button, so I had no way to increase the fuel I was about to take onboard. Fiddled around in the pits pressing a bunch of buttons, hoping I'd mapped it somewhere, to no avail. Drove by my box doing that, and wasn't about to set foot back on track with the damaged car so I had to quit out. DNF 2...ugh. ...maybe I'll get some time in the car, get comfortable with this thing, before the next one. One can hope! ....onward I go.

Well, Allan smoked everybody (nice driving, sir!).
I had one of those nights going where I had very poor rhythm, and probably should have not entered the race. But since I had that weird wheel problem using this mod the last time, I thought I'd give it a whirl anyway, try to stay out of trouble, try not to CAUSE any trouble, and pit after halfway (barring unexpected tragedies for others). I mostly stayed out of trouble, although I did pick up minor damage on lap two, and was only a minor PIA for the faster guys. Barely made it to the pits after finishing 17 laps (halfway) and had to take on fuel to make it to the s/f just to be sure. Points racing is not for me... but I got to play spectator for the last half, and if you want to watch some good stuff, watch the battle between Frank and Joe -- glad I wasn't still out there to slow them down or be used as a pick!
My congrats to all who attempted this mod/track combo

Great race, lots of fun.
I don't qualify as a senior anymore?
