Sorry I didn't get to run this one with you folks, but I had spent the entire day calculating my taxes, and not one of you would have wanted me behind you had you known! But I got to watch the first half, which I spent watching Tony holding his own quite competitively ( dude, you had to WORK for it a number of times -- wish it was me pressuring you -- grin) and watching a great contest between Peter and Jerry. Congrats to Gui on the win, and Deuce for the old farts' award! oops---that was Tom that won (I was looking at the season stats...duh)

This car and track was a lot of work. I was sweating even before the race started. I had fun trying to keep up with Tom. I made a few mistakes and dropped back about 8 seconds and then, with two or three laps to go Tom had an off and re-entered the track just barely in front of me. I bet that was a pucker moment after leading the whole time, lol. At that point I had some hope that I might be able to pressure him into a mistake but in the end it was me that spun the tires and dropped back a couple seconds. Great win Tom and congrats to Deuce on the seniors win.

First of all thank you so much to Joe and Jason for creating this amazing season.
This track required 100% focus and really didn't allow any time to relax. When I got on the server and saw Joe, Jason and Gui were there I knew that finishing on the podium was going to take a heck of a good drive.
Then quali happened and Joe and Gui dropped 57 sec laps and I started to worry. I put in the best lap I could and it took everything I had. I was literally exhausted after quali!
I am working on a summary video so I won't recap here, but man that was so fun. Watching the relplay it all came down to the tiny mistakes as the win could have gone to a number of different people. I was MOSTLY lucky except for the idiotic mistake I made that Joe mentioned. I took a look to see how close Joe was and went off on a part of the track I hadn't had any issues with all race... because I'm a dumbass. Suddenly I didn't have to check where Joe was because he was right on my bumper. It was a high anxiety moment for me for sure.
Thanks guys. I will post the link to the video here when I finish it.

Congrats to Tom on the win! Qualifying was very interesting, I unfortunately blew a .3s gain on a lap and stayed as P3. The race was cool with a train of three cars following each other closely for 9 laps until I caught up too much with Joe and threw it on the escape route. From there on my race was lonely as, with minor damage, I was barely making time on laps and all was lost on the pits as I forgot about the pit limiter (thanks to iRacing) and followed the pit sign, going about 30km/h below the limit. I came out with 20L too much fuel and many seconds behind the guys in front, so nothing that could be done. I did see the gaps drop in the end of the race, coming in under 7s behind Joe and noticing Tom under pressure on the last lap. Thank you guys again for hosting this, looking forward to the third round and getting to grips with the cars .

Hey Aaron, I forgot that you were Observing; it would have made me even more nervous! --the couple of times I've had some one on one sim racing instruction I always make more mistakes than usual! It was a fun race to be in, I love these open wheel cars and I had help from Tom, Joe, Gui and Jason with their great setups to try. Still, I couldn't even break the 60 sec mark for the longest time and never really passed anybody deliberately. I do like to chase other cars if I can keep up, but there wasn't much of that happening. Some pit lane errors cost me laps--forgot how to do a drive thru properly and also didn't get fully into the pit box for the fuel and tire stop and waited and waited until I figured out to move a few inches for the crew to start work. Oy! Made a few off track excursions, but didn't hit anything or anybody during the race. Add to that I'd taken a nap before the race and was late to practice, so I rushed to get going and that kind of threw me off a bit. Yet,Aaron, I had a good time and hope to see you next time. Congrats to podium guys and thanks to all for racing in this great series.

It was one of those weeks when real life kept intruding on my race practice time. That and I hit a wall at one minute laps and just could not find a setup change to get quicker. So I started in P9. It was great to see the field get through the chicane in good order on lap one. The second lap was different. I was closing too fast on the car ahead entering the chicane, locked a rear brake, slid sideways, and stopped in the middle of it. Big thanks to the four cars behind me who squeezed past. That mistake put me in P13; tail-end-charlie. Then off I went to try and catch the field. On lap 4 I was chasing Mr. Michaels after we had picked up two positions. Deuce and I picked up another spot on lap 9 and by lap 12 had closed up on Messrs. Boynton & Holm (fun running with you Deuce ). Five laps later, L-17, Tony and Deuce had dropped back and I was in P8 chasing Peter (a place in which I’ve found myself a lot lately). Still on his tail nine laps later and it was time for more fuel (thanks for the fun run Peter ). I rolled into the pits thinking we were going to have a heck of battle in the second half. Then I screwed everything up. I forgot to tell the crew not to fix the minor damage. The extra pit work put me 22 seconds behind Peter. Instead of a ding-dong battle with him I just slogged along trying to finish; which I did, in the same position I started. Phooey!
Congrats to all intrepid drivers taking the green flag.
