Sorry I couldn't race last night, but I was just too tired. I had a lot of fun watching you guys (I was spectating) during practice, watching the various ways you folks tried to keep speed up through the turns. Hopefully more folks (including me) will show up for the next event. Maybe eliminating the need for a password might draw some folks in; maybe by just throwing a challenge out to all the slower, aging guys I can get some of you older guys to try -- just TRY -- to beat me in the next event (watch the replays, when posted, for sure)!

Aaron, these cars are a hoot, 100 or so hp, a little too much slide and you've scrubbed off all that speed you worked so hard to get, great fun!

Aaron, these cars are a hoot, 100 or so hp, a little too much slide and you've scrubbed off all that speed you worked so hard to get, great fun! Agree with Peter. In fact, racing Peter in the second race was a real hoot! Jason got quicker and was catching up with Martin on the last lap or so, when he found the limit for a FUSCA slide turning into the equivalent of a Moto GP "High Side". Peter and I regained or former P3 and P2 spots we had before Jason played thru a few laps before. Bob was playing rookie drifter and running some fuel miser tests before giving up a few spots to his learning curve for those.
This little car is a momentum bugger. If you can master the limit of sliding and trail braking you can keep some pace. Good thing the engine is robust to over-revving..because we sure were pushing it every time we down shifted into 3rd (the most valuable gear).
I am sure Arron will return as soon as he can. I just want to extend the invitation to Jerry, Gilles, Tony and Ryan.. to name a few we missed playing bumper bungie with.

I finally got the chance to run a few laps in this mod for the next race, and I've got to say that I haven't laughed that hard at myself since I was in an elementary school spelling bee -- the word I had to spell was "biscuit" so, being a child of the times, I spelled it "Bisquick." But I did find out an essential change to make (at least for me) beyond the wheel settings in order to keep the car under control. For any folks who didn't run this race but intend on running the next, move the brake bias back (50-50 is where I'm at now, subject to change). See you all in less than a week
