My post race report to come a bit later, don't have much time right this moment. But, just wanted to say a few things this morning.... If I am going to be beat, last night is how I want to lose. That was a hell of an effort, Joe...be damn proud of that! I gave it 100% and came up short and you certainly proved when you focus in you are a force to be reckoned with. This series just got a whole lot more exciting And, Aaron.....yeah man! Nice consistent drives from you last night as well. Very nice to see it pay off for you at such a tough venue.

First off, congrats to Joe on another couple of wins. I know that second one was not easy.... Luis, I admire your ability to stay up so late to race -- no way I could do that -- but don't be too mad at the router, as it was probably really tired, too :-)
Again I had a ton of fun in this mod. Unfortunately that late update of Automobilista probably screwed up some probable entrants (most of us, it seems, had to access the server via the IP addy). But, anyway, I figured it out.
Race one, there was Tony, who was faster than I was, but managed to Q behind me, who dogged me all race; I was trying to catch/keep up with Todd, all the while knowing that one minor slip up would put Tony in front of me. That was really a fun race, Tony, but do let me blink occasionally, huh? :-)
Race two, I made the inverted part of the field (ugh)and had 4 really fast guys behind me for the start. I was trying to slow Bob down on the entry to T1 (left room, but not much!)when I saw Jerry spinning at the exit of T1. He locked it down faster than I expected, so we made minor contact and I entered the grass. I knew if I lost control I'd take out a bunch of guys when the car would cross the track, so I managed to get two wheels on the asphalt, and probably scared the heck out of Jason and Joe (btw, if this is considered unsafe track re-entry, let me know -- Joe definitely had to slow and decide what I was going to do!). Now, after a lap or two, I've got Tony dogging me again! And then Jerry must have been driving the wheels off, because he was right on me for the last third of the race. Thanks, guys, for the respectful driving...and, Luis, I've read somewhere (probably Facebook) that if you submerge a router in a vat of expresso, it will increase it's speed and longevity!

Thanks Aaron. Congrats to you on your Seniors wins. I wasn't sure about this track when I first laid tires on it. I thought it was going to be a disaster but it turned out to be a lot of fun. The first race was uneventful for me but I still had a blast just racing the track. Race two was a little more challenging, staring from 8th position. There was a traffic jam that a few of us managed to avoid. Jason got through it a little better and I was worried he would get away. At first I was over driving a bit and Gilles was making it tough to get around him on this narrow track. I almost hit him once and had to check up a bit which caused some contact with Tyler. Also Tyler and I had contact going up the jump due to my over driving. Sorry about that Tyler, totally my fault. I also cut the Gooseneck once in my haste. After all that I decided I better settle down a little before I took myself or someone else out. I finally caught up to Jason and rode behind him until he went wide and knocked his hood and bumper off. I had a pretty good lead at that point until I came around the corner at Charlies, hit a car broadside that was stopped in the middle of the track and lost my hood and bumper. Jason almost got around me at that point. From then on it was a battle of the crippled cars. We both managed to somehow finish one and two. Fun race.

The best laid plans of mice and men often go astray. Boy, they sure did. I like this track but rarely do well on it. Had difficulty getting a really good setup so went with stable over speed.
How’d that work? Both races pretty much ended for me in the first corner.
First things first though. I must apologize to all drivers (and especially Mr. Page) for my spin causing mayhem in T-1 of Race 2. The first problem was me not realizing I was starting in pole position. Boy, was I surprised when my car popped into the P1 starting box! The next problem was that I was so focused on making sure I led the field into a smooth start I never even considered a strategy for T-1. Two cars got under me into the corner, I was trying to give them plenty of room, and the Texaco car snapped into terminal oversteer in front of most of the field. My biggest mistake was never practicing an outside line through that corner (In retrospect I also wonder why the pole sitter doesn’t get the inside row for T-1).
RACE 1 Qualified in P6. Going into the first corner I was tagged by a following car and off I went through the grasslands and over the hill. Not quite sure how I found my way back to the track. I went into Sunday drive mode as there wasn’t much to race for. Did have some fun chasing Mr. Lalonde at the end of the race; thanks Gilles. Coming around the last corner on the last lap, the Porsche coughed as it ran out of gas. I coasted to the finish, giving up my P7 for P8 just before the S/F line.
RACE 2 Thanks to the excellent reactions of the drivers I spun in front of I was lucky to have a drivable car after the mess I made. My race turned into a virtual re-run of the first one; in the back of the pack just putting laps in. However I did find Mr. Page (the same Mr. Page who barely missed my backward sliding car in the first turn) to chase the second half of the race. I pushed him for 7 laps but he wouldn’t give in. Thanks for the run Aaron, nice driving. And to make my race day perfect I crossed the line in P8 for the second time.
Congratulations to all intrepid drivers taking the green flag twice.
