Although I haven't yet seen the replay of the entire race yet, I've got a few comments (and apologies) to make. First off, during the times I practiced I was practically out of control, with the car whipping viciously after any steering correction, and almost decided not to run the race until I found a cure. For those of you new to rF2 (like me) who are using a Logitech wheel, when you are in the setup screen, hit 'customize' then click on steering; apparently it defaults to the first setting, which is 'soft' (apparently best for Fanatec wheels). Click instead on 'hard' which is MUCH better for Logitech wheels, at least with this track/mod combo.
Once I figured that out (geez, I wish there was a manual!) I decided to race, and not q so that nobody was behind me. Then, just before the start of the race I saw Joe's instructions that there was an abbreviated pace lap, and no passing was to happen until a turn whose name I didn't know. By the time I got moving at race speed, I had held up both Bob and Colin, who also didn't q. Sorry about that, guys. Colin passed me easily, Bob had to pass in a tougher place, but made it work. 3/4 a lap later, I managed to screw up my shifting, and blew up.
But that gave me a chance to watch, and also to learn the various camera angles, etc. A couple of folks had a tough time of it, but there were also a number of great races to watch. Some of you guys were really zeroed in on each other, and had to be having fun battling. I can't wait to watch the entire replay!
